Great Birmingham Run

Ben is aiming for a PB

On Sunday 19th October I will be competing in The Great Birmingham Run to raise more much needed cash for our fantastic Eye Survive appeal. The annual 13.1 mile half marathon begins in Birmingham city centre and will this year be started by Commonwealth champion and local lass Jodie Stimpson.

The route starts in the City Centre and heads out to Cadbury’s in Bournville before returning down the Pershore Road to Stirchley and on into Cannon Hill Park. It’s a wind through Highgate and the back streets of Edgbaston before hitting the Hagley Road for one last big push for home and the long awaited finish line on Broad Street.

Come and Watch!

There will be numerous bands playing along the course and some of the World’s greatest athletes will be in action. It promises to be a great event so if you’re around in Brum on the day then do come out and cheer us on. This is my fourth Birmingham half and I will be pulling out all the stops to run a PB for Eye Survive.

Eye, Mobot!

Eye, Mobot!

Please dig deep folks and check back in after the 19th for an update on how it all went…

Many, many thanks in advance for your ever generous support,

Ben Dunlop is Genevieve’s first cousin and the Eye Survive Team wish him all the best! C’mon Ben!
